Our beginning: N Globe and China Rights Record are now live

After two days and two nights of work, my AI assistant and I completed the first versions of these two websites. They are still young and far from complete, but this is where we begin: turning an idea, step by step, into public platforms that can be seen, used and tested.

The first is N Globe (N-Globe News), at nglobenews.com. Our goal is to help people everywhere, wherever they live and whatever language they use, see important news from nearby and from every part of the world as quickly as possible—and understand what happened, why it matters and what effects may follow. We are still far from that ambitious goal, but it will continue to guide the site.

The second is China Rights Record, at chinarightsrecord.org. It records human-rights events in China and matters connected with China, preserving checkable sources, evidence and follow-up while distinguishing confirmed facts, unverified allegations and different viewpoints. The purpose of recording is not to remain in the past. It is to help ensure that affected people and events are not easily forgotten, and that future readers can find leads, verify facts and understand history.

Both sites still have a long way to go. Their reporting, verification methods, languages, features and reading experience all need continued improvement. We sincerely invite readers to follow their progress and offer thoughtful feedback. Every specific, constructive and verifiable suggestion can help us identify problems, correct mistakes and do better.
